Elizabeth has been working in the fitness industry, first in her hometown of Austin, Texas, and then in New York City, for the past decade. Borne out of a lifetime of physical activity, a desire to understand the human body and to help others live healthier and happier lives, Elizabeth's method of combining intuition, education, dedication and bio-mechanics has helped people from all walks of life achieve their health goals while tuning into the delicate balance that is their body.
While Elizabeth has achieved excellent results in weight management and overall physical fitness with her clients, her specialty has continued to be understanding and changing the patterns in people's physical/musculoskeletal structures, as well as their stress levels and reactivity. Elizabeth has taken numerous courses by the Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) and uses the techniques to help identify and teach these patterns and manifestations to the client. Putting these techniques into regular practice help to eliminate physical pain and joint dysfunction, improve the functions of breathing and circulation, bring muscles into their full and proper synchronicity, all while strengthening emotional health and adding to the overall quality of life .
Elizabeth is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine and has taken courses in everything from Pre and Post Natal (Annette Lang) to Stretch and Release (NASM). She has worked closely with the Physical Therapists at Thrive! PT in Manhattan, while working primarily out of that facility. She spent several years teaching Schwinn Cycling classes, working with the youth and elderly in Brooklyn, and managing Personal Training programs at New York City fitness facilities.
In her spare time, Elizabeth works out to understand and improve her own body and fitness, studies up on new cases and information, watches movies, explores the vastness of New York City, laughs heartily and still has time to hang out with her cat.
